ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Meet Patch’s Adorable Adoptable Pets of the Week available through the SPCA of Anne Arundel County. Maxxi was stolen during a break-in at the SPCA this past weekend, but thanks to staff, volunteers, the community and the Annapolis Police Department, she was found and safely returned. She is happy to be back at the shelter, but would really like to find her furever home soon.
Roxy and her brother Cody are bonded and must be adopted together. Both these sweet shepherds arrived with horrible skin infections and spent several months recovering from the infection. Now they are finally healed up and ready to head home.
Ginger the pretty piggy loves snacking on timothy hay and her daily veggies. She is one of several guinea pigs at the shelter looking for their forever homes. Guinea pigs make great pets and have lovely little personalities, but they do require some time and TLC to keep happy.
Bernadette is one cute and cuddly kitten. She has plenty of energy and enjoys playing with her siblings or entertaining herself with cat toys. Bernadette is one of many cats and kittens available for adoption at the shelter. For more information about adopting these adorable critters or any others currently at the shelter, call 410-268-4388 or visit the SPCA’s website.
As a reminder, due to the coronavirus, at the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, the shelter’s visitation policies have been adjusted but “staff and volunteers are still at the shelter to socialize the animals, feed them, medicate them and give them the level of care and love that the SPCA is known for,” said shelter director Kelly Brown.
Services that require appointments include:
