Illinois Coronavirus Update July 27: 171,424 Cases, 7,398 Deaths

ILLINOIS — State health officials on Sunday announced 1,541 new cases of the coronavirus and 1 additional death from COVID-19, the respiratory illness caused by the virus. Together with the 1,426 new cases and 12 deaths announced Saturday, that brings the statewide total to 171,424 confirmed infections and 7,398 known deaths. Another 1,242 probable cases and 192 probable deaths are not included in the official totals.

ILLINOIS — State health officials on Monday announced 1,173 new cases of the coronavirus and 6 additional deaths from COVID-19, the respiratory illness caused by the virus. That brings the statewide total to 162,748 confirmed infections and 7,301 known deaths. Another 1,175 probable cases and 193 probable deaths are not included in the official totals.

No New Coronavirus Deaths For Third Week In Glenview

GLENVIEW, IL — Like every other municipality in Illinois, the Village of Glenview has been dealing with its own unique data points regarding the coronavirus. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner, 48 people have died due to COVID-19 in Glenview since April 7. That marks the third consecutive week since Patch has been tracking these numbers every week that there have been no new deaths. There was just one new death between June 19-26. The most deaths in a single day were four on April 14.

Illinois Coronavirus Update July 15: 156,693 Cases, 7,226 Deaths

ILLINOIS — State health officials on Wednesday announced 1,187 new cases of the coronavirus and 8 additional deaths from COVID-19, the respiratory illness caused by the virus. The statewide total now stands at 156,693 confirmed infections and 7,226 deaths, not counting another 1,132 probable cases and 201 probable deaths.

The latest deaths include:

  • Cook County – 1 male 40s, 1 male 60s, 1 male 70s, 1 female 90s

  • DuPage County – 1 male 80s

  • Kane County – 1 female 80s

  • Will County – 1 male 50s, 1 female 70s

Every county in Illinois has now reported cases, state officials said.
